Fifth highest scoring Barça side in history

Fifth highest scoring Barça side in history

Three goals against Inter mean Flick's Barça have equalled the records set by the 2008/09 and 2012/13 sides

If there is one thing that characterises this Barça side it's scoring goals. This season they have scored 158 goals in 54 games, making them currently the fifth highest goalscoring Barça side ever, matching the sides from the 2008/09 and 2012/13 seasons.

15 goals from the top three

The team still has five LaLiga games to play, and at least one more in the Champions League. It may end up being two in Europe should Inter be vanquished in the Champions League semifinal return leg this coming Tuesday. Those games means they still have the chance make more history, but there is a big gap before they enter the all-time top four.

As it stands, the current Barça side are 13 goals away from fourth and 15 away from third in Barça's all-time top scorers list. Making it to top spot looks somewhat more difficult, though, as the 2011/12 side scored 190 goals.
