Accessibility Statement for the FC Barcelona Websites and Apps

Futbol Club Barcelona is committed to making its websites and applications accessible, and is actively working to progressively achieve this goal.

The websites and apps are being designed to ensure universal access for all users, regardless of their physical, sensory, or cognitive abilities, as well as their technical context of use (device type, software, connection speed, environmental conditions, etc.).

For this reason, we work with the aim of eliminating the barriers that hinder access to information and communication.

The club is committed to accessibility and is working to anticipate compliance with Law 11/2023, of 8 May, on the transposition of European Union directives on product accessibility, as well as with the Accessibility Code of Catalonia. Specifically, work is being done to achieve compliance with the technical requirements defined by the UNE-EN 301549 standard

Compliance Status

Despite ongoing efforts to ensure the accessibility of our services for everyone, the sites and apps still contain some accessibility issues that may hinder access for people with disabilities. We are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Some services of FC Barcelona are developed and managed by external companies under service contracts, and these companies are responsible for implementing accessibility improvements

Accessible content

The content listed below from the portal https://fcbarcelona.cat is accessible for the following reasons:

  • Media players include a mechanism that allows users to show or hide subtitles (Criterion 7.1.1 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Media players provide controls to activate subtitles and audio description at the same level of interaction as the main controls (Criterion 7.3 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • The reading order of the content through screen readers is appropriate (Criterion 9.1.3.2 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • All references to interface components are clearly identified using descriptive labels, ensuring they do not rely solely on shape, size, orientation, or position (Criterion 9.1.3.3 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Content display is appropriate when the screen orientation is changed on a mobile device (Criterion 9.1.3.4 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Focus moves freely between different elements or sets of elements, allowing smooth keyboard navigation without any blockage (Criterion 9.2.1.2 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Pressing an interactive element (just pressing, without releasing) does not trigger any functionality (Criterion 9.2.5.2 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • The visible label and the accessible name of controls match (Criterion 9.2.5.3 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • The main language of the content is specified (Criterion 9.3.1.1 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • No context changes occur when different components receive focus (Criterion 9.3.2.1 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Entering data or selecting values does not cause context changes (Criterion 9.3.2.2 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
  • Components with the same functionality across the website are identified consistently (Criterion 9.3.2.4 of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard).
