Barça futsal are through to the league semi-finals. It wasn’t easy. They needed a third and final game in the quarter-final series, which had started with a home loss, but this time they delivered at the Palau with a 4-0 win thanks to a brace from Pito, goals from Matheus and Erick, and a standout performance from Dídac.

Barça will now face Palma in the semi-finals, with home advantage against them. The first match is on Saturday 7 June in the Balearic Islands, followed by the second on Tuesday 10 at the Palau (8.30pm CEST). If needed, the decider will be on Friday 13, again in Palma.

Goalkeepers in the spotlight

Barça started strong, pressing from the outset. It took time, but they finally broke through Jaén’s defences with two quick goals before half-time, Pito's classic pivot move broke the deadlock in the 18th minute and Matheus quickly doubled the lead just seconds later.

Until then, Espíndola and Dídac had dominated, both making spectacular saves to keep their teams in the game.

All out attack

Right after the break, Barça made their intentions clear. Dídac continued to impress in goal, while Pito finished off a great team move to make it 3-0. Erick Mendonça added a fourth just a minute later.

Barça then managed the lead with discipline and more key saves from Dídac.

Another highlight was Lozano’s return to the court with just over three minutes remaining. The scoreline held, and Barça now turn their attention to Palma.
